In this week’s issue of Barron’s, Frank Moore was again named to the exclusive list of America’s Top 1200 Advisors. The number of advisors per state is based on population and wealth and there were just 30 advisors from Michigan again this year. Frank debuted on the ranking in 2017 at #28 and jumped to #18 last year. This year, Barron’s put us at #16 in Michigan, the top ranked advisor in Washtenaw County.
Barron’s describes their methodology, “Our rankings are based on assets under management, revenue generated by advisors for their firms, and the quality of their practices. Investment performance isn’t an explicit criterion, because it is often a function of each client’s appetite for risk. In our evaluations, we examine regulatory records, internal company documents, and 100-plus data points provided by the advisors themselves.” Advisors cannot pay to be recognized.
There were just three firms, including Vintage, in the top twenty that manage assets of less than $1 billion, so we were pleased to be included for our quality rather than quantity.
