Frank and his future wife, Jennifer, founded Vintage Financial Services in 1985 in order to better serve their clients. Frank continues to lead the Vintage Financial team as Chief Investment Officer, using the investment strategies he developed over three decades ago.
Frank is well known nationally in the financial planning community, having recently served as Chairman of the Board of NAPFA, the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. In his role, he worked with the leadership of the Financial Planning Association and the Certified Financial Planner Board to help promote and shape the Department of Labor’s Fiduciary rule that would have required all financial advisors to put their client’s interests first when advising on IRA assets.
Frank has been named by Barron’s magazine as one of America’s Top 1,200 Financial Advisors for the past seven years and is ranked #12 in Michigan for 2023. He has also been repeatedly recognized by Forbes magazine on their Best-in-State Wealth Advisor list as the highest ranked advisor in Washtenaw County. Forbes put him at #15 in Michigan for 2022. Numerous national publications have quoted Frank and featured his market insights. Those have included the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Business Week, Financial Planning, the Journal of Financial Planning, Medical Economics, Investment News, Wealth Manager, and others. Frank has also spoken at national investment conferences on topics ranging from the investment management process to applying technology in a wealth management practice.
Prior to founding Vintage, he worked in the banking industry and with an investment firm.
He is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he earned a B.A. in economics. After his undergraduate studies, Frank became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional and has earned a Master of Science degree in financial services with a specialization in wealth management.
Frank and his wife, Jennifer, love Ann Arbor and support the local quality of life with the Frank and Jennifer Moore Family Foundation. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with Jen, boating on Lake Michigan, blues and rock concerts, University of Michigan sports, and he stays in shape by running and cycling.
